Mission Statement

We are a Christ-centered community who gather to worship, pray, study, and grow in faith.

As disciples of Jesus moved by the Holy Spirit, we are called to share God's unconditional love, to be in God's mission for others.

All are welcome to join us on this spiritual journey, to find meaning and purpose in life through the gift of God's grace.

Grace WELCOMES you! You are CREATED by God and LOVED as you are!

Grace Lutheran Church is a Reconciling in Christ congregation, where All are Welcome to share their God-given gifts to worship, learn, grow in faith, and actively engage in God's work in the world. We commit to advocate for racial, social and economic equality with actions toward equity and justice for all.

Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, All are Welcome means the people of Grace:

    • Invite, accept, and embrace all people of colour, races, cultures, ages, sex, sexual orientation, two spirits, gender identity and expression, nationality, ethnicity, marital status, social or economic status, physical or mental ability, political stance, or theological perspective.
    • Gather in fellowship, worship, education, and participation in the sacraments of baptism and communion and offer space for weddings and blessings.
    • Offer a safe space where all will be heard, respected, and belong.
    • Encourage participation within the church and in mission in local, regional, and global neighbourhoods.

The people of Grace acknowledge with respect that we worship on the traditional unceded territories of the Lekwungen people (Songhees Nation and Esquimalt First Nation) and WSANEC nations and are grateful for their long-continued stewardship of God’s creation. We seek a right relationship with all who live on this land with a commitment to the ongoing work of reconciliation and decolonization.

We invite your exploration of Grace’s home and website for what we can offer you, but most importantly, we appreciate your participation and what you are willing to share with us.

God bless you!
